ECC – Visit from Cats Protection

In the ECC this week we had a visit from Alison from Cat Protection. She spoke to the children about how to take care of a cat 🐈 and what items they need to be looked after. The children learnt about the cats different senses and they drew them on the board. Alison then sang a song with them.

Transitions From ECC to Primary 1

Today we had a visit from Miss Stevenson who came and read a story to the children all about frogs. She left a frog counting game for the children to explore with. 🐸🐸🐸

British Science Week 13-17 March 2023

To celebrate British Science week we had visits from Jacqui Grant and Scottish Power Engineers from Whitelee Windfarm.

Jacqui Brought with her a star that had fallen from the sky. The star was very sad and wished to go home. Together Jacqui and the children worked on a plan to get the star back into the sky so that the children could go out at night and look for it twinkling in the sky. 🌟

Then we had the visit from Scottish Power Engineers who brought with them some equipment they use when maintaining the wind turbines and a small model that showed the children how electricity can be made with wind. The children got to try on the harnesses that the engineers wear whilst working on the wind turbines at Whitelee Windfarm 💨
