Snow Day
The children enjoyed exploring outdoors today. They worked collaboratively together to make a snow man and gave him a flowerpot hat, they searched the garden to find items for his eyes, nose, buttons, and arms.
They also checked on their experiment they created earlier in the week to find out how much rain was falling. They added food colouring to bottles, weighed then down and added measuring tapes to see the volume of water. They were excited to find snow inside their gauges.
Everyone had fun exploring with the snow, clearing it, and finding fun ways to transport it around the garden.
Days of the week song
I’m aware we talk to the parents and mention the days of the week song etc. through floor books, social media posts etc so thought a wee video may help.
It’s just from You Tube but in the future, it could be of the children singing when they’ve practiced at home with their parents.

Please note that the Centre will close at 2:40pm on Thursday 10th February 2022
The Centre will be closed for the Mid-term break on Friday 11th & Monday 14th February, In-service day will follow on Tuesday 15th February
Children return at 8:40am on Wednesday 16th February

Children will come home today with the new menus for lunch. These will start after the holiday weekend.
Please circle your child’s lunch for each day and return to Joanne tomorrow or Thursday.

Children’s Mental Health Week
MThis week:
Children’s Mental Health Week is taking place on 7TH-13TH February 2022.
This year’s theme is Growing Together.
The children will take part in cosmic yoga. The children have also been enjoying mindful music and lying with their eyes closed or watching therapeutic videos of fish and sea creatures.
This week the mindfulness will take place each day.
