Colour Monster jars
The children had the opportunity to talk about their emotions and make their own feelings jar using collage materials that represent each emotion in colour sealed inside a laminated pouch.
“Happy”
“Sad, I miss my Daddy”
“I’m doing all the colours cause that’s me, happy, sad, grumpy, calm, scared that’s me inside.
Rainbow breaths
Rainbow meditation helps us control our breathing and brings our attention to the present.
“This makes me sleepy”
Painting to classical music
We played a compilation of classical up tempo and soothing music to help the creativity flow. The children painted while listening to the music, some even moved their bodies to the rhythm. Each painting is a unique and beautiful masterpiece that we would all be proud to display in our homes.
“I don’t like that music, do you have dance music”
“I want to do it again” “can I make another painting ”
We voted for something special for our fun Friday
