No heating – no problem !
We didn’t let the chilly temperatures get us down on Friday as we carried on regardless with our Stay and Play Sessions.
We kept busy throughout and the children showed super ownership of their ECC as they took parents and carers around the setting exploring their environment both indoors and out.
WE HAVE HEATING :) :) :)
Woohoo – you will all be glad to hear that our heating problem has been resolved and we will be back open again TUESDAY 17th MARCH at 8.40am.
We hope to see you all again tomorrow.

With regards to the ongoing COVID-19 situation this is a reminder that all communications from school and ECC will be done via:
- school APP – ECC/primary school

It is important that parent/carers check these communication channels on a daily basis to ensure that you are kept up to date with East Ayrshire Council’s latest updates.
If you currently don’t have access to any of the above, please contact Catrine Primary School office who will help you.
Thank you.

Fabulous workshops were held today within Catrine ECC providing parents with information about how ECC’s and schools deliver quality teaching around the topics of Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood.
Thank you to everyone who attended.
Banana Loaf
This afternoon we made banana loaves – the children looked at the recipe and helped to measure out all of the ingredients.
They all got a turn to mix the ingredients using the electric mixer.
Great language used throughout the activity, ” it looks like slime, gloopy, yuck!’ After it was made – ‘that smells yum , yum, emmmmm!’
Outdoor day
Today the children had opportunities to explore mud painting, number formation, hanging bird feeders and recreating the story of the ‘Three Little Pigs’ using masks and props.
Transition
On Monday, group 1 returned to P1 for their second visit. This week they spent a lot of time problem solving, co-operating and exploring different ideas with their buddies. They used the wooden blocks to build castles, bridges and chairs.
Super team work!!
