Wednesday 6th May

Good morning everyone, let’s make this Wellbeing Wednesday. Do something that makes you feel good; listen to music, dance around, keep fit, share a book, talk to a friend or make a healthy snack for you and your family. These are only a few suggestions. Have a great day! 😁
Read the story of the Bad Tempered Ladybird and give it a different ending.
Try this online wordsearch with this week’s phoneme. Choose the ea sound in the last column.
Work on your table facts for multiplying and dividing

Tuesday 5th May

Hello everyone,
The forecast looks good for today, so let’s get outside if possible. Some of you asked for science experiments in your learner response. I found this clip, it’s not ideal because it shows you what will happen. If you don’t want to try them yourself, it is still quite satisfying just to watch. Skittles work just as well as M&Ms (I have done the first one before).
Here are some other tasks.
Make an outside picture from anything you find lying around and take a photograph. Here are some ideas.

Monday 4th May

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a lovely weekend in the sunshine. 🌞 There are only 4 days of assignments this week as Friday is a holiday. 😁Some of you have asked for more division practice and lots of you asked for more art and craft type activities so here is the plan for this week.
Here is a chart that may help you to identify those bugs.
Learn the phoneme ea (bread), Draw a bug jar and make a bug hotel. These are the links you need for these activities. I put them together on one document.
Have a great day!

Friday 1st May

Good morning everyone,

Happy first of May! Have a go at drawing or making a bug and post it on your blog for me to see. I am also going to re-assign the learner response that you filled in after week one. I would like to check that you’re getting on ok with the tasks etc.  I hope Aeson doesn’t mind but I will also post a picture of the bug hotel he made with his sister. I was going to make that a task for next week but Aeson beat me to it!  Well done Aeson, maybe it will inspire some others to have a go.

Thursday 30th April

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all feeling good and staying positive. No new tasks  to be handed in today so that you can work on some of the ones that are there already. Don’t go bug hunting in the rain though. 😨 I am posting a link to “Do You Know” about beehives. There is also another story to read and don’t forget to do the bugs for your reading book. If you have access to a printer, Paperchase sent me a colouring sheet you might like. Have a good day and let me know how you are getting on. 🙂

Wednesday 29th April

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all feeling good. Today is writing day so I have given you a story to write. Imagine you are tiny and in a garden, what kind of adventures will you have? Try to write a story with a beginning, a middle and an ending. Watch this trailer for an old film for inspiration.

Honey I Shrunk the Kids

Your next task is to draw a garden that you would like to have.

Garden Ideas

There is also a 2D shape task. You have to write the letters and the shapes they match.

Shape Mix-Up

Have a good day everyone. Use your imagination!

Tuesday 28th April

Good morning everyone,
I will post your new assignments for today. Spelling is the same as last week but with your new words, just choose a different task from the menu. You might want to leave the bug hunt for later in the week because I don’t think the weather has to be as good today. Try reading the story of the Greedy Bee. Have a good day and don’t forget to say hello to everyone. 👋
Try to read the times on the clocks and write them down in analogue (o’clock) and digital time.
Read the information on the website and go on a bug hunt in your garden or when you are out for your walk. Draw the bugs you find and write their names.
