We have been helping Councillor Adams keep our local community clean and tidy by walking around the Grange and Annanhill park litter picking 🗑️ !
Of course we had a quick 5 minute play at the park too as a treat for our hard work 🛝

We have been learning about symmetry! 🦋
We attended the Dick Institute for the launch of Lorna Stalker’s book called ‘The Cheese Wedge of Doom’ 🧀 🐦. The books are designed to help children think of their own skills and what they’re good at, thinking ahead to their own possible careers. The story was fab and the children enjoyed making puppets and crafts.
They also enjoyed visiting the exhibits upstairs, especially the lion 🦁.
Here is an overview of all the fantastic learning that’s happening in p3…
We were lucky to be on a live stream with Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler for the launch of the brand new story “Gruffalo Granny”.
They acted the Gruffalo story out for us, completed a question and answer session with some pupils in London and Axel taught us how he drew the Granny! They finished off by reading the wonderful new story!
We have been working on place value activities and focusing on tens and units/ hundreds, tens and units and beyond!!
We have started a PE block with Mr Alldridge and the S6 leaders. We are practising a range of skills, for example, team games, aiming using different objects and having lots of fun!
We have been learning to spell our common words in different ways…
We have settled in to our new classroom and have worked together to create our own class charter. We read ‘Our Class is a Family!’ and brainstormed how we want our class to feel, sound and look. We created class promises and took the most important ones to create our charter. We even made little promise bracelets.
