P2CB Class Blog

Welcome to P2CB!

Termly overview P2

We have had a great first couple weeks over here in P2C.

We have been learning our classroom routines, having lots of fun getting to know each other and learning what it’s like to be a P2!

We have read ‘Giraffes can’t dance’ and ‘Alma and the worry stone’ to learn about resilience and how we can always try our best. We even made our own worry stones to hold tight when things are out of our comfort zone!

So far, we have been focusing on our phonemes ‘Sh’, ‘Ch’, and ‘Th’ and we are learning about numbers to 100 in numeracy (ask someone in P2C to give you a performance of our count to 100 song).

Our topic this term is dinosaurs! We are learning all about fossils, what dinosaurs ate and the different types of dinosaurs. We have been carrying out exciting investigations so do stay tuned to see more of those!

Dinosaur investigation!

We had a lot of fun in P2 this week pretending to be scientists and getting stuck into our dinosaur poo investigation!

We dissected the dino poo to see if it came from a herbivore, carnivore or omnivore! You can ask our Annanhill scientists what kind of discoveries they made!

Numicon city!

We have been working hard the past couple weeks in P2C to learn our numbers to 100. This week we made our own numicon cities which helped us problem solve and count.

Here are some of our city builders in action!
