Virtual Reality…

The children recently took part in a wonderful African experience and they didn’t even leave the school building!  Using the latest in Virtual Reality technology, every pupil was given the opportunity to visit Africa and see Elephants up close and person.

As you can see in the pictures below, the children wore Virtual Reality goggles and were instantly transported to an African plain filled with elephants having a cool down in the water.  The images viewed by the Virtual Reality goggle wearers were so believable that when Mrs Milne put the goggles on she actually took a step back when she found herself nose to tusk with an elephant!

Many thanks to Craig Hume, Director at Utopia Computers for bringing such an unusual field trip into the classroom.

And the Winning House this year is…

…DEAN

Congratulations to all the children in Dean House who worked so well together to reach this achievement!  Also well done to Howard who came a close second followed by Kay then Piersland.

The children in Dean, alongside Star Challenge Winners, will now enjoy a movie treat in school next week – please note that permission letters have been sent home to all children invited to view the movie and these must be signed and returned to allow your child to participate in the movie treat.  Once again, well done to all the children on a marvellous year achieving points for their Houses.flag clip art
