Return to school and online learning

Dear Parent/Carer

As outlined in the Authority communication on Tuesday 16th, we look forward to welcoming back our children in P1-P3 on Monday 22nd February.   Children in P4-P7  who are already registered as keyworker or vulnerable should continue to attend from Thursday 18th onwards.  Just to reassure you, as we have always had children in, we have always maintained our high standards of mitigating factors.

Please note that school buses will be operating at normal times, prompt departure at 8.50am, Dick Road.  From Monday P1 & P2 pupils will travel on bus 1 and P3 pupils will travel on bus 2 .  We are awaiting confirmation on bus details for P4-P7 and will advise this as soon as possible.

Remote learning for all other P4-P7 pupils  will continue until we are advised of a return to school date by the Scottish Government.

We look forward to seeing your children returning and thank you for your continued support at this time.

A huge thank you to our local Morrisons Community Champion who dropped off a donation of food items to the school today.  This assistance allows us to provide ongoing breaktime snacks and meals to pupils and their families in our Loanhead PS community who would benefit the most from this.

This type of support is invaluable to many families just now and we would ask that anyone finding themselves in a position were a little help would make a huge difference then please contact Mrs Milne who, in complete confidence, will do everything we can to help.

Panto time!

This week pupils had a very different experience from our usual annual school visit  to see the Panto.  This year Panto came to us! Everyone enjoyed watching an online panto with their own class on the large screen via the Promethean boards in their classrooms.  A special shout out to Friends of Loanhead who helped bring this to us by making a donation to cover the cost of this happening.  Thank you to you all from everyone at Loanhead Primary School.

Thank you…

Today we received a donation from our local Morrison’s Community Champion.  As well as donating snacks for us to use in school for children who don’t have a little snack at breaktime, the donation will also be used to help families in our Loanhead community over the coming weeks.    A heartfelt thank you for this act of kindness.
