Easter Service, Thursday 24th March, 10am at New Laigh Kirk
A warm welcome is extend to all who wish to join the children at their celebration of Easter Service.
A collection will be taken this year for McMillan Cancer Support. Children wishing to donate to this will have the opportunity to donate via class collections prior to leaving for the church. Visitors joining us for our service will also have the opportunity to donate via collection plates at the church entrance prior to the service starting.
In the event of inclement weather the service will take place in the school building. Should this situation arise, a text message will be issued first thing Thursday morning to advise parents/carers of the change of venue.
Easter fun has started!
Lots of fun activities happening in school this week as the children prepare for Easter.
Design the Easter Egg competition started today (finished designs to be returned by Thursday) and ‘Bunny Bingo’ and ‘Guess the eggs in the jar’ are up next on Tuesday after assembly!

Latest Parent Council News…
Members of the Parent Council will in the school at the parent appointment afternoon/evening to have a chat about the role of the Parent Council and to gather your feedback on proposed changes and the way forward for the Parent Council and Friends Of Loanhead (FOL). After School Activities
We have recently issued letters for the following after school activities:
- P1 & P2 Gymnastics
- P4 Football
- P6 Basketball
If your child would like to attend any of these activities please ensure the slip at the bottom of the letter indicating their intent to attend is returned.
There are more activities in the planning stages just now and we will advise you of these in due course.
P1-P4 Tae Kwon-Do taster sessions
Please be advised that the taster sessions on Thursday 3rd March and Thursday 10th March are now full.

Thursday afternoon clubs…
Please note that due to all the fun activities planned this Thursday for World Book Day, the children’s weekly Thursday afternoon clubs will not take place. They will be back up and running as normal next week. Click here for a reminder of the World Book Day plans.
Can we please ask that children who have elected to take part in clubs involving sport bring a change of suitable clothing to take part.
