After School Badminton

Galston Primary School, in conjunction with Ayrshire Badminton Club have organised a Badminton Club for P5 and P6 pupils . The club will take place after school on Monday 29th September and 6th and 27th October from 3pm to 4pm.
There are only 20 spaces available at this club, if  you would like your child to attend please complete the form by following the link below as soon as possible.

You are invited to attend a Parental Engagement Afternoon for our P5 classes on 19/3/25 from 2pm – 3pm. This is an opportunity to visit your child’s class and see the work that they have been doing in. This will also allow you to see the work they have been doing on their Titanic topic before their outing to Belfast on 24/4/25.

Titanic Museum Trip

Titanic Experience – Thursday 24th April 2025
We are arranging a trip to Belfast to take part in the Titanic Experience for all our Primary 5 pupils.  The trip will cost £80 per person and we will be travelling with Dodds Travel.  The trip has changed date from the original survey date after confirmation from Dodds Travel.
We will leave Galston Primary School at 9:00am and travel to Cairnryan by coach.  From Cairnryan we will get on the ferry and sail to Belfast, the sailing should take around 2 hours 15 mins and the children will eat their packed lunch (which they should bring with them) on the ferry.
When we arrive in Cairnryan we will then take part in a tour of the Titanic Exhibition and then also do a walking tour of Belfast.
We will leave Belfast at 7:30pm and sail to Cairnryan by ferry, with everyone receiving an evening meal on board the ferry on the way back.  We will then get the coach from Cairnryan back to Galston Primary School and should arrive back by 11:40pm.
The total cost is £80 which can be paid in instalments (minimum instalment is £5) and must be paid in full by 24th March 2025. Payments can be made using Parentpay.
We are also looking for parent helpers and due to the nature of the trip all parent helpers will also require to pay £80 too.  Any parent helpers should contact the school office and we can add the parent onto parentpay for payment.

The Unsinkable Ship – Titanic

Our P5 pupils are planning a visit to the Titanic Experience in Belfast on 6th May 2025. The children would leave the school at 9:00am and return at 11:30pm. approximately.The cost of this trip would be around £80 – £85 per person. At this time we are looking for feedback to find out if parents would be interested in their child attending a trip to the Titanic Experience. This trip will only be able to go ahead if there is enough interest to fill the spaces required. Please complete the form and submit it to the school no later than Friday 10th January at 3:00opm.by following the link below
