Auchinleck Academy’s gymnastics team won the Active schools event held on Friday 23rd March at the Judo club in Kilmarnock. The event was run in association with Ayrshire Gymnastics and the girls performed in three events; individual floor, team floor and team equipment.
The team were placed first overall and Iona Young and Lauryn Hanlon were identified as having an ‘outstanding performance’ in individual floor.
The girls this year have grown from strength to strength and hopefully they will continue to develop their skills next year.
The team was taken by Mrs Kelly and Miss Cathie.
