S1-S3 Science

The Science course for S1-S2 provides a wide range of different contexts for learning which draw on important aspects of everyday life and work. Science will develop pupils’ interests in the living, material and physical worlds.

The course takes place over two years, providing pupils with the opportunity to develop, consolidate and become secure in the knowledge and understanding of a wide range of scientific concepts. The course will also provide opportunities to develop and practice inquiry and investigative skills and enable pupils to apply scientific thinking to everyday life whilst developing a broad scientific knowledge base.

Th S1-S2 course is designed to cover the Science Experiences and Outcomes as set out in Curriculum for Excellence.
