Free School Meals can lead to a large saving for families with secondary pupils potentially saving £370 each year.  You will also be helping our school if you qualify for Free School Meals; some Scottish Government funding is provided directly to schools and is linked to the numbers of pupils who are registered as entitled to free school meals. We would therefore like to remind all parents/carers that you need to apply annually for the Free School Meal entitlement and the School Clothing Grant when your child is enrolled at secondary school; it does not happen automatically.
