The committee has continued its work on developing the school library and organising events such as World Book Day and Scottish Book Week. Children across the school continue to enjoy the extra input of non-fiction books. The Parent Council are also involved in supporting book initiatives in the school and with their Tesco Fundraising we hope to purchase outdoor cushions for our new Willow Structure as well as the outdoor classroom so we can enjoying more reading outdoors.

2020-2021
The Reading Committee was formed in the 2020-2021 school year. Children on the committee helped promote reading in different ways including organising Harry Potter Day in May 2021. Everyone dressed up and the school was decorated like Hogwarts. What great fun it was.
The committee encourage reading in class by surveying pupils about what kinds of class books they would like in their library. They will be promoting books on their display sharing reviews on a regular basis.
