Kirkcudbright Primary School is situated at the south end of the town, close to Kirkcudbright Academy, Kirkcudbright Swimming Pool, Kirkcudbright Squash Club, the Library and most of the town’s amenities.

It is a new purpose built school designed under the Authority Public Private Partnership. There are 9 spacious classrooms, full size gym hall, servery, generous changing and toilet facilities, general purpose room, ICT suite/Library, Learning Support Base and Pupil Support Base. We also have a Community Room which is ideal for parents/community meetings. This room also has a kitchen area. Our school is easily accessible for those with a disability and we have a High Dependency Changing facility.

Our Primary also incorporates a Nursery which has a placement capacity of 38 morning and afternoon plus 10 2 year olds. Nursery accommodation includes 3 large classes each with their own kitchen/wet area, nursery kitchen, parent’s room and nursery office.

Our playground has numerous ‘zones’ for pupils. Play zones include a full size basketball court, multi use
games area (MUGA) external classroom and planting garden, wooden play area and playing fields.
All our class bases are equipped with interactive white boards, computers and a multi purpose work area for arts / crafts.
