Kirkcolm Primary School

– what have we been up to?

Partnership Bonding!

Today we did a little switch about with our classes which meant upper school Leswalt and Kirkcolm were brought together, and lower school classes also joined forces. To make the most of this day, teachers organised some little activities to get the pupils bonding with their stage partners across the partnership! It was a fantastic day and it was so lovely to see the red and burgundy mixing together, especially for the older boys and girls ahead of Lockerbie Manor in February and then the Academy! 👏

Lower school pupils looked out their Victorian toys from their Toy topic and played with them outside and inside together.  They then learned about hopscotch and played that outside together. Upper school pupils embarked on a STEM session where we got stuck into some coding with our Microbits and Spheros and flexed our creativity with the K’Nex moving parts set! What a fab day – hope we get to do things like this more often! 👍🤞
