Scoot to the forest!
Today we scooted to the forest with Sustrans! It was great fun despite the weather. When we were at the forest we did some orienteering where we read maps to find a hidden object. We all had a great time.
Scots Poetry Competition
Congratulations to every single person in p5/6. Each one of us got up in front of our class, Mrs McLean and Mrs Sloan and recited our Scots poems (and did fantastically)!
Our winners are duo Seth and Connor
Highly commended runners up are duo Abi and Fern
Dress Rehearsal
We had our dress rehearsal for the Christmas Show today and we all did fantastic along with the other P5s and P6s. We are excited for our performances tomorrow!
Angles in the wild!
P5/6 have been learning about right angles, acute angles and obtuse angles (definitely not angels). We went outside to see what angles we can find around the playground!

Balcony plants
During the open afternoon we planted a lot of plants big and small, all gifted by Tesco. We have been discussing what we need to do to take care of our plants and how that is similar to taking care of ourselves and others!
Building our resillience
Whilst discussing how to become the best rights respecting ambassadors we can be, we decided that something important we need to work on is our resilience. We were given cups, rubber bands and string in our groups and we had to work together in our teams to stack the cups without touching them. This was a difficult task which we needed to use our resilience for and also help our teammates be resilient. We enjoyed smashing them down at the end and watching in slo-mo!
