Kingswood 2019

On the 8th of May 2019 the P6’s went on a massive school trip to Kingswood.  They did a number of activities including: Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Leap of Faith, Lazer Zone,Nightline, Shelter Building, Team Games and Fire Lighting. They were also split into 8 dorm  rooms  within the Horn beams cabin. The P6’s enjoyed Kingswood very much!

Devils Porridge Trip!

On the 12th of March, P5/6 and P6/7 went to The Devils Porridge for a school trip. they explored what life would’ve been like back in the war. For example they listened to the air sirens, went into the Anderson shelters, wore some clothes from the war and even ate some carrot cakes! They were given a tour guide which helped them navigate the museum and learn about the Gretna bombing and how it effected peoples lives. Here are some pictures

Photography Competition!

On Thursday 28th of February the Rotary Club came to present the certificates to the winners of the Photography Competition.  The two different categories were juniors and intermediate.  Some of the winners in the intermediate were: Jena Smith from P7 [highly commended], Ellen Chalmers from p7 [3rd place] and Sienna Jordan who came 2nd. Some of the junior winners were: Mhairi Chalmers P5/6 [highly commended], Heather Kellock P6/7[3rd place], Connie Ewart P7[2nd place] and Yasmin Orr P6/7who placed 1st!
