Primary 6 has been learning all about perimeter and using the formula 2 x (l+b) to calculate. We then took our learning outdoors and measured the perimeter of certain parts of the playground.

Primary 5-7 organised a community afternoon where members of our local community came in to play traditional games. The games that were played were:
Snakes and Ladders
Dominoes
Beetle Drive
Bingo
All the pupils had fun playing these games with people who attended. A special mention goes to Olly R who ‘called’ the Bingo all afternoon.
Jaimee P6 said “I enjoyed playing games”.
Rocco (P6) said, “I enjoyed playing games. My favourite game was the beetle drive”.






Fraser (P6) has been running a chess club every week on a Tuesday at break time. The purpose of this club is to help others learn the skill of playing chess. It also always pupils to develop their META skills, communicating, adapting, critical thinking, collaborating and focusing.







Primary 6 has been studying the work of various artists since coming back from our Christmas holidays. Here is our current art display.

We will continue working on developing our art skills buy continuing to study the work of famous artists and local artists.
Primary 6 has been working hard since returning from their Christmas holidays. We have been busy learning about the Los Angeles Wildfires, The ban of TicTok in America, Robert Burns and his life, plus studying the art of various artists in time. Here are some photographs of our displays.



Primary 6 were peddling hard on Thursday to make smoothies for everyone to drink. The smoothie drink is designed to teach pupils about alternative sources to electricity to make smoothies. The smoothies were worth it though.









Primary 6 took part in The Big Burns Supper Lantern Making Workshop. It was fun and messy! We used lots of our STEM skills and META skills. Some of us took part in the parade and some went to watch. Here are some photographs of our afternoon making lanterns.












Primary 6 have had a busy 3 weeks since coming back from the Christmas holidays. It really has been a case of ‘hitting the ground running’.

Primary 6 have been learning to code using Scratch and 2Code on Purple Mash.
We will be getting some coding homework at some point throughout the year on Purple Mash.
