Primary 6 has been working in groups to design and create a board games for others in the class to play. We discussed ideas and then began to create our board game. We also had to write a set of instructions to explain to others in the class how to play our games.
We used the following META skills during this activity:

Primary 6 have been creating their own board games, working in groups of four. We planned our games then began to make them. Our next step is to finish making them and then spending an afternoon playing our games.
We also had to write a set of rules for playing our games, ensuring fairness for all.
We have used our HOTS skills and META skills when completing this task.

Mrs Hannay and Primary 6 can’t wait to play these games.
Primary 6 have been busy writing books for Primary 1 pupils. We wrote a story for them, designed a front cover for them and read the storybook to them in the Primary 6 classroom.
We then took the Primary 1’s outside to each them games. We designed these games ourselves.

Primary 6 have had a super successful day. We ran well in the cross country championships at Park Farm, then 4 P6’s represented Heathhall Primary School at the Euro Quiz at Troqueer Primary School. These 4 pupils did brilliantly and won it. They will now travel to Edinburgh to The Scottish Parliament for the national finals in June.
Well done everyone. We are super proud!
