As part of Maths Week Scotland, we have been doing problem solving and puzzles. We really had to think about known strategies to solve the problems. We worked in twos’ which helped us ‘bounce’ ideas off one another. Have a look at some of our puzzles.
In PE with Mr Sharp, we have been learning skills in basketball. We worked in groups to learn new skills. Leah took some photos during the lesson. Here are some photographs to share with you.
Primary 6 have been learning to work within a budget. Pupils were split into groups and given a budget of £5.00. Within their group, they had to work out if anyone had food intolerances and dislikes. They then had to use websites to price the best option for fruit to make a fruit kebab.
Have a look at us hard at work.
We put food packaging out on tables, we had to move around the classroom filling in our sheet on food labels. We then had to decide whether they were a healthy food choice or not. We had to give reasons for our answers.
Primary 6 were taking part in hockey lessons, delivered by Dumfries Hockey Club. We had fun and are looking forward to next weeks lesson.
Primary 6 have been researching Queen Elizabeth II. They then created a newspaper article sharing the news of Her Majesty’s death and sharing details of her life.
They had to write the report in chronological order.
Read all about it!
We have been busy researching a natural disaster from any time in history. We then prepared a powerpoint to present to the class.
We have been hard at work!
In Primary 6, we have been looking at food hygiene and personal hygiene when preparing food. We designed posters to promote better hygiene when working with food.
