Primary 6 pupils have been curling at the Icebowl. We had fun during our taster sessions. Here are some photographs of use hard at work learning the ropes to the sport curling.

We put food packaging out on tables, we had to move around the classroom filling in our sheet on food labels. We then had to decide whether they were a healthy food choice or not. We had to give reasons for our answers.

Primary 6 were taking part in hockey lessons, delivered by Dumfries Hockey Club. We had fun and are looking forward to next weeks lesson.

Primary 6 have been researching Queen Elizabeth II. They then created a newspaper article sharing the news of Her Majesty’s death and sharing details of her life.
They had to write the report in chronological order.
Read all about it!

We have been busy researching a natural disaster from any time in history. We then prepared a powerpoint to present to the class.
We have been hard at work!

In Primary 6, we have been looking at food hygiene and personal hygiene when preparing food. We designed posters to promote better hygiene when working with food.
Have a look at our posters – we are extremely proud of our work.

Primary 6 have been voting and have voted for Holly to be our pupil councillor for this year. She will represent our class at pupil council meetings and take our points of view forward to Mrs McLean.

We have been busy preparing to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee. We have been researching the Queen’s reign and all her achievements. We have been busy sketching and painting a portrait of the Queen.
We also decorated cupcakes and shortbread to eat at our picnic celebration on Wednesday afternoon. We made bunting and table decorations, plus crowns. It’s shaping up to be a good day.
Photos to follow.
Mr Allison from Active Schools has been in helping train the Primary 6’s on skills to help work with the younger pupils. Today they were working as part of their ‘buddy’ remit helping and getting to know the nursery pupils.
Here are some photographs from this morning.
