Campfire Cooking!

We had so much fun today in the sun! We learned how to make Banana Boats! They were delicious!
We just love bringing our learning outside!
While other groups created frames for their dens and went on a ‘bug hunt’, we told campfire stories as we smelled our delicious bananas cooking on the fire! They were delicious!!😋

Challenge! Challenge! Challenge!

How would you spell Duncow Primary without writing it?

The children came up with fantastic and creative ideas! What an amazing group of children. They all worked together (P1-7 mixed groups), planning, creating, building and making – problem solving along the way!

We are so proud of their results!

All winners, all champions! Well done, everyone!!!!!

Egg Fun!

What ‘egg’sellent’effort from children with their egg designs! Mrs D and Mrs J found it such a challenge judging! What fun and well done to all!

Happy Easter everyone and we look forward to seeing you all again on Monday 13th April!

Sand! Sand! Sand!

We are delighted to announce that Duncow Primary have their very own incredible SANDPIT!!!

With the help of all the pupils and some amazing parents who arrived at the end of the day, 12 bags of sand was carried round the back of our school and our sandpit was made!

The children, and adults, are enjoying this amazing new learning space. We are looking at many many more years of fun to come!

Very thankful!

Where would you like to read?

We wonder where your ‘Silliest’ place to read would be? We had kennels, the washing machine, in a digger, in a bath, outside in the dark, upside down, in a suitcase.. to name but a few!

Was great fun! Well done to our amazing families for joining in the fun!

Happy World Book Day from Duncow

We had the best time celebrating reading and books! What fun with quizzes, games, stories and so much more! We even had the ‘Tiger Who Came to Tea’ come to our Duncow tea party! Thankfully no cakes were stolen in the making of this photo gallery and all children were safe! Huge shout out to our Tiger, James, what a champion!!!!!

Happiness in Nature – by Lydia P5

Happiness in Nature

Crunchy leaves falling off trees

Plants dying out, going on walks

Passing all the animals and saying hi

Little kids throwing leaves into the air

Through the trees you zoom

The sky slowly goes from dark to light

You can now hear the cows mooing and the sheep baaing

Horses, ponies and deer clip clopping around the fields

Birds flying to their nests

As the sun sets slowly, everything and everybody, gets into their beds, nests and burrows

Cozied up for bedtime

Good night!
