Gardening Club update…busy, busy bees

This week and last have been exceptionally busy for our keen gardeners!

We’ve had to tend to all the vegetable and plants that we have been growing by weeding and watering them regularly.

We also wanted to improve the front of our playground, making it more bright, colourful and inviting. A member of our group suggested filling welly boots with seeds to grow flowers in. We thought this was a great idea so got to it during Friday Fun Time last week. The result looks fantastic, all we need to do now is wait….look after them carefully, water them each day to encourage the wild flower and sweet pea seeds to grow. Watch this space!

We spent this afternoon’s  session (Tuesday 24th May) watering and also planting some more bean plants in our School Vegetable Garden. Everything is looking very fruitful and all out gardeners are very keen to keep our garden blooming.

Lots of our plants have been kindly donated by Mr Goodwin and members of our community. Many thanks to goes to them.

If you have any plants, particularly flowers that are surplus in your garden, the Garden Club would happily take very good care of them in ours.
