Guid Nychburris Football Competition

Brownhall recently participated in the annual Guid Nychburris Football Competition at the Queen of the South Arena. Brownhall finished third in their section after three wins, two draws and three defeats.  Unfortunately we did not have enough points to qualify for the semi-finals. Well done to the team for the effort and sporting manner in which they played all their games!

Visit to University of Glasgow Campus

Primary 1 to 7 recently visited the Crichton Campus of the University of Glasgow for a morning of IDL activities organised by the postgraduate student teachers. The pupils completed four different activities –

  1. Crime Scene  – Science experiments
  2. Human Body – Digestion demonstration
  3. Investigating different plants in the University Garden
  4. Coding: Using a Maze

Sports Day 2019

Brownhall recently held their annual school Sports Day. Once again we were very lucky with the weather. The winning House after all the traditional races were Criffel. Well done to everyone for taking part and doing your best to win points for your House.

Health Day 2019

Brownhall recently held their annual Health Day, which was organised by Miss Mallaby and the pupils from the school Health Group. The pupils were arranged in mixed age groups and rotated round the following activities over the course of the day –

Jedi Yoga

Football Coaching

Daily Mile

Healthy Snacks

Self-esteem

Relaxation / Mindfulness
