P5/6/7 Visit to Dumfries High School
This week, P5/6/7 went to Dumfries High School to learn about science. They took part in lots of experiments with magnets and were helped by Ms Henry. They had an excellent time!

P3/4 do Reciprocal Reading in Class
This term, the P3/4 pupils have been enjoying their reciprocal reading in class. They have been independent and also working well together. This has involved using the computers, playing games and writing.

Guid Nychburris Principals Visit Brownhall
This year’s Guid Nychburris Principals visited Brownhall this week as a lead up to the town’s celebrations on Saturday 16th June. The principals each explained their title and role that they perform on Saturday.
Presentations were made to the Queen of the South, Cornet, Cornet’s Lass and Sorsha who is one of the Queen’s attendants this year.
The Queen of the South then presented highly commended certificates to Woody, Olivia and Isla for their handwriting entry in the annual competition. Well done!

Guid Nychburris Football Competition
Brownhall competed in the annual Guid Nychburris Football Competition which was held at Queen of the South’s Palmerston Arena. The tem of P6 and P7 pupils did not qualify for the knock-out stages of the small school competition, but they played well and were a credit to the school. Well done to Closeburn Primary for winning the competition!
