Auchencairn P4-7 Hallowe’en!
P4-7 looked very spooky on Friday as they dressed up for Hallowe’en. Take a look…if you aren’t too scared !🙈
Bulb planting in Auchencairn
Last week P1-3 planted daffodil bulbs which were very kindly donated to the school by John Hutchison. Rosie, Toby, Logan and Archie helped.
Let’s hope in springtime the playground is full of cheerful colour!
P4-7 Borgue Hallowe’en activities.
P4-7 played some spooky games this afternoon: Hallowe’en bingo, stick the nose on the witch, twister and ghost bowling. The trickiest game was wrap the mummy! Harder that it seemed!
Have a happy Halloween weekend!
Borgue assembly and Hallowe’en!
Our first Pupil of the Week assembly was held today. Our winners were Morann and Joe , who were working hard and being great role models to others. Excellent!
House points winners this week were Benjamin, Jake, Morann, Arthur and Archie! Great job everyone!
Everyone looked fab in their Hallowe’en costumes, with some super homemade efforts!
Pics of P4-7 dressed up are on Mrs Graham’s twitter page, search for @MrsGraham_class
Borgue orienteering…indoors!
The weather was truly awful today so P4-7 had a class vote and opted to stay inside…hopefully next week we will get out in the playground.
We looked at map symbols today and also orienteering symbols. We then did a treasure hunt around the school to locate them and guess what they were.
Some very good answers from the pupils but the duck was the hardest to get! Ask your learner if the can remember what it means.
Spooky goings on in the Auchencairn dinner hall…
Our cook Bev has been busy decorating and it looks spooktacular! Far too scary for the teachers to come in! Thank you Bev for your amazing efforts, the children loved eating lunch in here today.
Take a look…if you dare!
Harvest Assembly in Auchencairn
Before the holidays, each class in Auchencairn prepared for the (socially distanced!) Harvest Assembly, and donated food to the local food bank. Thank you all so much for your generosity! Well done to all their pupils for their hard work and understanding of the meaning of Harvest.
Link Park fun in Auchencairn before the holidays…
We all had a brilliant last day of term with our adventures at the Link Park. Phoebe, Naomi and Jean taught us about food chains, minibeasts and everyone had the chance to make a bird feeder. Both classes had a little bit of rain while we were out but this didn’t dampen spirits or spoil our fun. Huge thanks to Phoebe, Naomi and Jean.
Have a look at some of our photos…
End of term!
We have reached the end of the first term and the pupils across the partnership have worked extremely hard and coped well with the new hand-washing and cleaning routines. We would like to thank everyone for their support with this, and wish all our families a safe and relaxing October break.
See you all back on Monday 26th of October.
