P1-3 have been working very hard in maths and consolidating learning through play. Here are a few photos!
In the P4-7 class this P4 pupil was the star of the week. Well done!
Well done to Daisy on gaining her Star Reader award on Accelerated Reader!
Yesterday some of the older pupils in the school planted some new trees in the playground. they’re becoming very skilled in this and their super efforts will be helpful not only for the environment , but for helping us achieve an Eco Flag! Great job!
P4-7 have started a fantastic display of art work , based on the novel “Wonder” by RJ Palacio. The novel features the life of a boy called Augie who is heading to school for the first time, aged 12. He has had many corrective surgeries on his face, eyes, mouth and eyes which have left him scarred and self conscious. One of the book themes is kindnesses, which Augie is not always shows by others. We thought about how we can radiate kindness towards others and then created Wonder inspired art work. We think these are fab! What do you think?
We had two very deserving award winners this week: Arthur and Jake for tricky maths work and for being the best behaved Victorian child! Wow!
House points winners for Ross were Arthur and Nathan
House points winners for Brighouse were Morann and Eli. Well done everyone!
P1-3 learned a lot about how Victorian children would have “enjoyed” school during their Victorian school day. Lots of rules and harsh punishments. children would also have used slates to write on as well as having to remember things like times tables! Very different to 2020!
P1-3 have been very busy creating these beautiful works of art with Mrs Styles. Can you spot the animals hidden in the pictures? Some are very tricky! They are very proud of their super display and so are we, well done everyone!
P4-7 have been exploring different forces to create Elephants. The winning team was Rosie and Murrin, and the runners up were Toby and Alba!
Super work!
