🚦 P3/4 Road Safety with Our School Community Police Officer
P3/4 were delighted to welcome our School Community Police Officer, Chloe Jack, to Sheuchan Primary this week for an important input on road safety.
This was particularly relevant for our P4 pupils, as many of them are now beginning to walk home from school independently. Chloe started by talking to us in the classroom, sharing important information and helping us to think about how we can keep ourselves and others safe when using the roads.
We then headed to the school hall, where Chloe and David had set up a fantastic mini street for us to explore! 🚗🚦
We all had a part to play and became cars, bikes, lorries, lollipop people, traffic lights, police officers and pedestrians. We had to work together to create a safe road and help our pedestrians cross safely. It was a fun and interactive way to put our learning into practice and think carefully about the different people who use our roads.
We all got a lot from the input and developed a better understanding of how we can make safe choices when walking, cycling and travelling near roads.
A huge thank you to Chloe and David for such an engaging and valuable afternoon. We look forward to welcoming them back to Sheuchan Primary again soon! 🚔🌟
