We’d like to share with parents the main themes of our learning across the curriculum. This is an overview of the term and shows the topics and main focus of our teaching each term. Over the course of a session all curricular areas will be covered, however, in some terms there may be a focus on a particular subject and others may be blank. For example, our middle and upper school show means that there would be an increased input in drama and music in the third term but we would then concentrate on other subjects in term 4.
We hope you will find this information helpful when talking to your child about what they are doing in school. We would also encourage you to share any expertise you might have in a particular topic. In the past parents have visited to share their knowledge of bee keeping; donated resources related to a topic on China; shared a passion for battle re-enactment and Scottish history – what could you do?
