Today we had a class trip to Newbie Beach. The weather was fair and although the sun was hiding behind the clouds the effects could still be felt at the end of the day. Thank you to Nic Coomby from the Solway Firth Partnership team for assisting us in our beach clean up operation. We filled 12 bin bags full of all sorts of plastic, although mainly coffee cups and water bottles. Such a shame to see so much pollution. We did our good deed for the day and then after lunch half the group enjoyed making a kite, although the wind was surprisingly light. Whilst this was happening the other half of the group were producing news reports on the events of the day and the effects of pollution.
