We are all missing our children and their families so much and it has been lovely to hear from some of you. Here is a little message to all of you from all of us. We hope that it’s not too long until we see you again.

Clever Counting
Mrs. Gray has left a comment for our photo sent in from home of one of our children relaxing in a ball pool:
“Gosh what a busy pool. Maybe you could do some clever counting whilst having fun in the sun.”
Good idea Mrs. Gray. That would certainly provide some tricky counting.
Familiar Faces
Super Ornithologist
Mrs. Irving enjoyed seeing the photos of one of our children busy learning with his family:
“How lovely to see what I has been up to. I am sure he will be a super ornithologist! I wonder what birds he will spot? Brilliant biking too I! Your leg muscles will be growing really strong. Well done!”
That is a long bike run. He certainly will be getting strong and fit.
Hello
We have a lovely message and photo for everyone from Mrs. Carruthers:
“Hello from Mrs J Carruthers. I just wanted to pop on to say hello. I hope you are all staying safe with your families and enjoying this unique time with them. I am missing you all very much and hopefully we will see each other soon. I have enjoyed seeing some of your photos on the blog. I have been making rainbow pictures with my two daughters and spending time in the sunshine. Take care all of you.”
How lovely to see Mrs. Carruthers’ daughters who look like they are keeping busy. We hope that all our Nursery children are enjoying time with their families too.
Singing Together
Further to the video of her playing Humpty Dumpty at home with her son, Mrs. Irving has left a message:
“I’m looking forward to taking my accordion into nursery to play alongside our brilliant children singing. Lots more practice will be needed though for me to keep up with them!”
That would be great Mrs. Irving. We look forward to joining in lots of songs with you.
Sing Along With Mrs. Irving
Mrs. Irving and her son have done a little rendition of Humpty Dumpty for you all to sing along to. She has not played the accordion for many years but thought that she would give it a try. We think that you have done a brilliant job Mrs. Irving and hope that everyone enjoys this little clip.

Pampering
Tilly’s family has been looking at the photos of our pampering:
“Tilly absolutely loved the pamper corner, this is right up her street! She came home and gave her whole family a wonderful hand massage!!”
Well done Tilly for being so kind to your family.
Miss Fleming enjoyed her time being pampered too:
“I thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the pamper corner. The children were all so gentle when giving hand massages. It was very calming and relaxing.”
It was lovely that the children were being thoughtful towards other children and adults alike. Sounds like we may have to set the pamper corner up again.
Happy Retirement
Friday was the last day of work for Mr. Nicholson, our janitor, so he got to sit in the “special seat” in the Raindrop Room to get his card from the children. We want to thank Mr. Nicholson for everything he has done for us over the years and wish him a very happy and healthy early retirement. Children, parents and staff will all miss him very much.
Welcome
We would like to welcome Mrs. Gemma Flett to our Nursery. She is a student from Dumfries College studying for an HNC in Childhood Practice and will be in our Nursery every Friday for her placement. Initially Mrs. Flett will initially be based in the Raindrop Room and we all wish her well in her time with us.
