Great Photos

Mrs. Maxwell has loved the photos of everyone so busy at home and has left messages for you:

“Lovely photos Violeta, it is great to see that you are having so much fun and that you are helping Mummy with the dishes. Well done!”

She was also really pleased to see Lily and James looking after our planter:

“What great little helpers! Thank you so much.”

and loved the Sports Day video:

“This is great girls, well done! It looks like you can have lots of fun in your garden.”

It is lovely for us all to see your photos boys and girls. Please keep sending us them.

Lots Of Letters

We are delighted to have a photo of another little girl who has received a letter from Mrs. Kirkpatrick. Goodness me, Mrs. Kirkpatrick and all the other staff have certainly been very busy letter writing.

Thank you for sharing your photo Tilly. It is lovely for us and your friends to see your happy smile and we hope that you enjoyed your letter.

Messages For You

Some of our staff have been enjoying looking at your photos. Mrs. Irving left a message for Alfie:

“What a super Chef you are Alfie! Your pizza looks mighty tasty….it is making my tummy rumble.”

Mrs. Kirkpatrick loved the photos the children shared with their letters:

“Aw lovely photo Sophie x I’m glad you enjoyed reading your letter” and

“So pleased you liked your letter Seth x”

We all love to see your photos so please keep sending them to us. It’s great to see those happy smiles on your faces.

Have You Had Any Post?

I wonder if any of you have been getting any post recently? Seth and Sophie were both excited to get their own letters today from Mrs. Kirkpatrick and they wanted to share these photos with us.
Thank you so much to Seth and Sophie for sending us their photos. It’s so lovely to see such happy smiles. We hope that lots of you will be receiving post this week and would love it if you sent us a photo. Please send it to the school office and let us know whether or not you’re happy for us to add your name. It would be great to see lots of your smiling faces on the blog.

Sports Week

One of the main events during the summer term is our school and Nursery sports days. Whilst we aren’t able to come together to enjoy lots of fun activities, we will, along with the school, be holding a week long event instead.

We would like to share this video of us all trying out a little fun activity at home to give the children ideas of challenges to try themselves and we suggest that they ‘have a go’ at a few of them during week beginning Monday 1st June. These are just suggestions that, of course, can be adapted and the children may also want to invent their own activities which we would love to see.

You could organise your ‘sports day’ for any day between Monday and Thursday of week beginning June 1st, depending on weather. Why not share it with other family members during a video call to make it an event for the children?

We would love you to send photos or videos of your event so that we can share them on our blog. Please send them to the school address below by the end of Thursday June 4th so that they can forwarded to us to share.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you have lots of fun.

Thank You Isaac

Mrs. Irving would like to share this message for Isaac W.:

“I was overwhelmed this morning with the kindness of Isaac and his Daddy as they dropped some delicious home baking at my door. What a generous and thoughtful act of kindness! Isaac, you have brought a huge smile to my face. Scott, Eve, Coll and I all say a big thank you!”

How lovely to hear about such kindness in our community. Isaac, your baking looks absolutely delicious and we are sure that Mrs. Irving and her family will thoroughly enjoy it. You should feel very proud of yourself for being so thoughtful and kind.

Tadpole Update

Do you remember Isaac W.’s tadpoles? Well, we’ve had an update on them from his family:

“Not much change in size at the minute just in colour. Will send in another picture when the back legs start to form. Isaac is doing a great job of checking on them and feeding them. 🙂. “

We will look forward to further developments Isaac. His family also liked the photos of their craft day:

“Fab pics, both Quinn and Isaac had great fun (so did Dad). Isaac said his is a water horse so does not need legs 🙂 “

We love your water horse and we can understand your thinking about the legs Isaac.

Isaac’s family also wanted to leave a message about our “Rhyme of the Week” video and Mrs. Kirkpatrick’s care of our planter.

“Love it. Well doone Coll and Mrs Irving 🙂” and “Excellent job Mrs Kirkpatrick 🙂“.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us comments. We all love to hear from our families so it’s much appreciated.

Mrs. Mackay’s Visitors

Mrs. Mackay has recently welcomed some new arrivals to her house. A parcel arrived containing two little pots which she sent us a photo of. Can you see what is inside her pots? They are tiny (and very hungry) little caterpillars.

Mrs. Mackay and her family are going to look after their caterpillars at home and she will let us know if there are any changes to them. We are looking forward to hearing about Mrs. Mackay’s new little visitors over the next few weeks. I wonder if any of you can guess what might happen?

We know that so many children love the story of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” so click on the link below to hear the author, Eric Carle, reading it. Maybe that will help you think about what is going to happen to these little caterpillars?

Super Skills

Mrs. Kirkpatrick has left a message for Summer:

“Wow super hula hooping, wish I was as good as you. Very well done
Mrs Kirkpatrick”

I think that we are all wishing we had such great skills Summer.

She is also impressed with Lola’s great work at home, saying ” Lovely to see you helping” when washing dishes at home. Mrs. Kirkpatrick also loves the photo of Lola making cakes:

“Wow those cakes look yummy well done Lola 👏🏻👏🏻  Mrs Kirkpatrick”

Lola certainly looked like she has been very busy and is learning lots of skills.
