Happy New Term

Our new term starts for the children on Tuesday 8th January when we look forward to seeing everyone again. We will also be meeting lots of new children and feel sure that you will make them feel welcome in our Nursery. They will be excited to be starting Nursery and looking forward to making new friends so we hope that this is the beginning of a happy experience for them.

Staffing will stay the same in each room this term and the children will keep the same key workers as previously. However, rather than alternating weeks in each room, Miss Awde, our Modern Apprentice, will be working in the Sunshine Room up to the February break and will finish the term in the Rainbow Room.

We look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.

Cooking is Fun!

We like Finlay’s Mum’s comment on the photo of him tasting the cake mixture:
“Finlay was making sure the cakes are going to taste good.Yummy!”

We are also excited to hear about Ollie’s plans for baking tonight:
“Ollie is baking shortbread tonight for all the lucky nursery teachers. He had so much fun this term at nursery, especially in the run up to Christmas. If his shortbread doesn’t work out then we have a box of sweeties on standby.
Thanks again. X”

Thank you Ollie for such a lovely thought. We’ll look forward to tasting your shortbread tomorrow. Have lots of fun making it!

Children in Need

We’re glad that everyone seemed to enjoy “Children in Need”. We did all have lots of fun joining in with the dancing that we watched on the Promethean board. Hayden’s Mum posted a lovely comment on her photo:

“Hayden really enjoyed taking part in the children in need day at the nursery especially the dancing. Hayden has settled in very well and made lots of new friends and loves coming to Nursery and learning new things. The staff are also very friendly and helpful keep up the good work”.

Thanks to all our families for your support in encouraging the children to join in the spirit of the day by wearing spots.

Come and Play

Thank you to those parents who have come in to join in a Nursery session this term. The Rainbow Room and the Sunshine Room have both had visits from several parents and the children just love it when you come and play. Why not put your name on the grid in the cloakroom to join in?
Finlay’s Daddy left a comment saying how much he enjoyed himself when he came to play: “Finlay really enjoyed his Daddy getting to watch him in Nursery today, Its great that parents get invited to do this, Finlay’s Dad said he had a really fun morning and what a brilliant nursery it is and the staff are so friendly.”

New Term

Our new term starts on Monday 16th April when we look forward to seeing all our children and their families again as well as the new children who will be joining us in the afternoon sessions.

We would like to remind you that the key workers will now move to a new group. The children will remain in the same groups but the staff will change to help us get to know all the children and their families well.

To help you prepare your child for this change, these are the key workers for our fourth term. This change rarely causes the children a problem but we thought that it might be useful to know before Monday.

Red Group:   Mrs. Kirkpatrick

Blue Group:   Miss Kerr

Yellow Group: Mrs. Carruthers (a.m.)   Ms. Paterson (p.m.)

Green Group:  Mrs. Gray (a.m.)   Mrs. Carruthers (p.m.)

We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.

Parental Consultations

We would like to remind you that parental consultations are available over the next two weeks.

If you have not already booked an appointment, the suggested times are still on display in the cloakroom area for those who wish to speak to key workers. If these times are not suitable, please speak to staff who will accommodate you at a more convenient time. We look forward to discussing your child’s progress and development with you.

Happy New Term

Our new term starts on Thursday 5th January when we look forward to seeing all our children and their families again. We will also be meeting lots of new children and feel sure that you will make them feel welcome in our Nursery. No doubt they are excited to be starting Nursery and looking forward to making new friends.

We would like to remind you that the key workers will now move to a new group. The children will remain in the same groups but the staff will change to help us get to know all the children and their families well. As you can see, Mrs. Kirkpatrick will also now be joining us in the afternoon sessions due to an increase in numbers.

To help you prepare your child for this change, these are the key workers for our third term. This change rarely causes the children a problem but we thought that it might be useful to know before Thursday.

Red Group:     Mrs. Gray (a.m.)   Ms. Paterson (p.m.)

Blue Group:    Mrs. Carruthers (a.m.)   Mrs. Kirkpatrick (p.m.)

Yellow Group: Mrs. Kirkpatrick (a.m.)   Mrs. Carruthers (p.m.)
