Special Books

We hope that you have enjoyed looking through the children’s special books with them at home. We would like to remind you to please return them tomorrow, Wednesday 21st March, along with the comment sheet which has been added to your child’s book as part of our ongoing evaluation.
Thank you to those who have already taken the time to share their thoughts with us about their child’s progress. We greatly value your views.

Special Books

We hope that the children have enjoyed sharing their “special books” with their families. We would like to remind you that we would appreciate it if they are returned to Nursery tomorrow (6th October), if possible, along with the comment sheet.
However, your child’s book is available to you in Nursery in the book area so please look at it with your child whenever you wish and feel free to add your comments or observations. We greatly value your input.

Special Books

We hope that everyone has enjoyed having their “special books” home. No doubt your families will be very proud of all your achievements. Thank you to those who returned their books to Nursery today and to those who took the time to complete our comment sheet.

We ask that all the “special books” are returned tomorrow (21.2.14) to allow staff to continue to record achievements. However, please remember that the books are on display in Nursery for you to pick up at any time.

Our “Special Books”

Thank you to those of you who have returned the children’s “special books” and for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your child’s progress. Finlay’s Mum has left us a lovely comment on the blog:

“We thought Finlay’s special book was really good and it tells us that Finlay is progressing well at nursery, keep up the good work Finlay and well done to the nursery staff as his book is very detailed we really enjoyed reading it.”

We hope that you have all enjoyed sharing the children’s “special books” with your families and ask that those who have not yet returned them, do so early next week so that we can continue to record your child’s achievements. Please remember that you can look at your child’s book at any time in Nursery – they are on display in the book area in each room.

An Insight to Nursery Life

Thank you to those who have returned the children’s “special books” with our evaluation sheet. It’s very helpful to get your comments about your child’s progress and we look forward to more of your feedback. Thank you to Reece’s Mum for her recent comment on the blog:

“Enjoying seeing what Reece has been up to at nursery both on the blog and in the book, he tells me more about what he has been up to when he sees the pictures.”

We hope that the books and the blog are providing an insight to daily life in Nursery for all our families.

Proud Families

We hope that everyone is enjoying having their “special books” home this week and that you are sharing your achievements with your family and friends who will doubtless take great pride in what they see.

Bethany’s Mum left a comment to say how happy she is with Bethany’s achievement in getting a Star Award last week:

“Well done Bethany! We’re so proud of you. Keep up the good work!”

We look forward to hearing all your comments when you return the “special books” later in the week. We would also appreciate it if you could please complete our comment sheet prior to our parental consultations.

Our Special Books

The children’s “special books” will be sent home this week, prior to our parental consultations. The personal learning plan is a shared document between children, parents/carers and the Nursery staff to celebrate the children’s learning and development during their time in Nursery. We ask that you record any achievements from home that you feel are important for your child.

We would like to remind everyone that these books are on display to browse at any time. The children often look at them during the Nursery session and love to show them to their families. However, we hope that everyone enjoys having their “special book” home for a few days.

A list of available appointments for parental consultations is now on display in the cloakroom area. If these appointments do not suit you, please speak to your child’s key worker to make alternative arrangements.

Our Special Books

Have a look at your special book!

The personal learning plan is a shared document between children, parents/carers and the Nursery staff to celebrate the children’s learning and development during their time in Nursery. We encourage parents to record any achievements from home that they feel are important for their child. Lately, for example, we have been able to record someone learning to ride their bike without stabilisers, which we all know is a wonderful landmark in every childhood and deserves pride of place in this record of achievements.

We would like to remind parents/carers that these books are on display to browse at any time. The children often look at them during the Nursery session and love to show them to their families. However, we hope that everyone enjoys having their “special book” home for a few days.
