Well Done Kacey

Kacey’s Mum has been enjoying the recent posts about our home activity and the Harvest celebration.

“Kacey loved looking for chestnuts and hazel nuts with her big brother.”

“Unfortunately I was unable to come to the harvest celebration but Kacey told me all about it and sang me some songs at home her nana and sister said it was lovely to see all the children singing together!”

Thank you for helping Kacey to collect items for our Autumn display. The children showed great confidence in the Harvest performance and we were all very proud of them.

School and Nursery Values

Thank you to all those who have returned the slip about our updated values. It is important that as many people as possible give their opinion on what best sums up our school community values. If you have not yet completed a slip, please ask Nursery staff for a copy as we would appreciate your ideas. All results will be collated and shared along with the updated vision, values and aims.

Special Books

We hope that the children have enjoyed sharing their “special books” with their families. We would like to remind you that we would appreciate it if they are returned to Nursery tomorrow (6th October), if possible, along with the comment sheet.
However, your child’s book is available to you in Nursery in the book area so please look at it with your child whenever you wish and feel free to add your comments or observations. We greatly value your input.

Harvest Celebration

Thank you to Rev. McGougan and to all afternoon family and friends who attended our little Harvest celebration today. Those well deserved cheers and smiles meant a lot to the children who performed so well to a large audience. They certainly showed themselves to be those ‘confident individuals’ and ‘effective contributors’ that we want them to become. We are sure that you felt as proud of them as we did. Thank you also for your generous donations which will be much appreciated by local charities.

Thank You

Eileen Johnstone, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, has left a message:

“I want to thank everyone who helped me to check the games and books for the activity bags – it usually takes me weeks to do it all. I am really pleased that the bags are ready to go out after the October holiday. I will send a letter out next week with information about borrowing and returning bags.”

Harvest Celebration

Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to our Harvest collection which will be delivered to local charities. You can see the Rainbow Room children in front of all the wonderful donations just before their celebration today. Thank you also to Rev. McGougan for being part of our Harvest celebration and to all the family and friends who provided a super audience for the children’s performance.
We look forward to seeing our afternoon families tomorrow and would again like to thank you all for your generosity.

Singing Practice

Dylan’s family is looking forward to the children’s singing tomorrow. They enjoyed the photos of them practising:

“Awww, they look like they’re having fun! Looking forward to hearing them all sing tomorrow.”

The children have been really enthusiastic about learning their songs so they will be excited to perform them to everyone I’m sure.

Settling In

It was lovely to hear from Orla’s family:

“We are delighted at how well Orla has settled into nursery. It seems such a happy and lovely environment. The staff are very friendly and approachable and I can’t thank them enough for making us so welcome. Thank you for Orla’s certificate.”

Like all the children, Orla certainly deserved her certificate. Thank you for leaving us such a kind comment.
