Photos

Patrick’s family has been looking through our photos and liked the ones of the children visiting the police station.

“Aww Patrick you were a bit shy but weren’t you brave getting in the big car! Well done xxx” and “Lovely 😍 seeing you with all your friends Patrick xxx

The children did enjoy that visit and it was great that they were all able to try out the siren and blue light on the van.

Compost

Letti and Oscar’s Mum has been hearing them use our “Word of the Week” which is compost.

“I heard all about the kids putting compost in, then seeds, more compost and they each had their names in the pots. Letti and Oscar have been helping Mum planting at home this week too!”

Well done Letti and Oscar for using our word at home and what a good description they gave of what they have been doing. Well done for helping with planting at home too – you have both been very busy this week. Hopefully we will be able to post some planting photos soon.

Proud Parents

Tom’s family is delighted with his recent certificate:

“Tom was so proud to come home and show us his award- it’s now pride of place on the fridge! We’re delighted at how much he is coming on at nursery. Well done Tom! Mummy and Daddy are very proud! X”

We are all proud of Tom too. He thoroughly deserves his certificate. Keep up the good work Tom.

Learning Together

Learning Together (PEEP) sessions are held in the Family Learning room (opposite the school hall) each week with each session lasting approximately one hour. If you would like to have a cuppa, meet other parents/carers and get involved with fun activities with your child, please complete the reply slip by Friday 27th April indicating your preferred sessions. Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator will be in touch once she has gauged interest and preferred time slots.

Humpty Dumpty

Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, continued with her PEEP activities in the last week of term and Humpty Dumpty played an important role in this session, with the children building a wall for Humpty, going under lycra to find him and then making puppets with their families. This looks like great fun. Look out for more PEEP (Parents Early Education Programme) sessions next term – remember that younger siblings are welcome too.

PEEP Sessions

A few of our families have begun PEEP (Parents Early Education Programme) sessions with Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, in the last few weeks. One of the recent activities was making playdough and adding a variety of different scents which sounds like good fun. Here are some of our families looking very busy. I wonder if they made dough at home?

Easter Egg Competition

We hope that lots of our children will take part in this week’s competition to hard boil and decorate an egg. Entries can be brought in to Nursery on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th March to add to the whole school display. There will be prizes for the best egg in various groups and ours will be in the Nursery and Primary 1 section. Adults have their own section so the grown ups in your family can have a go too. Have fun decorating your eggs everyone – we look forward to seeing them soon.
