Outdoor Projects

Construction is always popular both inside and outdoors and the children like nothing better than to become involved in a little project together that they will then be able to use in their play. This gallery demonstrates examples of this as you can see children making their own roads, investigation panel and music display. Regardless of weather, the children are happy to busy themselves with important tasks to create resources that they then love to use. What great satisfaction it brings when you can play with something you have made yourself!

Busy Briana

Briana’s family has sent some lovely photos of her busy outdoors. Briana has been growing her own flowers and carrots, as well as feeding the birds, so she has certainly been kept busy while Nursery has been closed. Very well done Briana and thank you so much for sharing your lovely photos. It’s great to hear from you.

Fly Away Butterflies

Mrs. Mackay and her family have kindly shared a video of the moment they released the butterflies they had so carefully nurtured. In the end all ten butterflies emerged from their chrysalises so they had great success. Mrs. Mackay’s daughter was very lucky that one of the butterflies landed on her hand so she was able to get a close look at it for a while before it flew away to a new life. Mrs. Mackay says that this was a great experience which they all plan to do again in the future.

Thank you very much to you and your family for sharing all your photos and videos over the weeks Mrs. Mackay. We are sure that everyone has enjoyed seeing the progress of those little caterpillars.

Tree Climbing

Just look at this wonderful photo of Lily and James climbing a tree for the very first time. Very well done! You both look like you are having a great time and that is a super achievement. Thank you so much for sending us this lovely photo. We think that everyone in Nursery will be very impressed and it will be so nice for your friends to see you.

We would like to share this lovely video of Tilly and her big sister Olivia enjoying their Sports Day. Thank you so much for sharing your video. It looks like great fun and we hope that you had a super day.

Twins Win

We have received this lovely photo from Lily and James’ family of them enjoying a fun Sports Day. They sent us a message too,
“Lily and James doing the egg and spoon race both won as they are twins after all. Both really enjoying sports outside including learning to skip as well.”
Super photo Lily and James! “Egg and spoon” can be tricky and skipping is definitely a great skill to learn. Thank you very much for sending us your photo. We are glad that you had fun.

Looking After Our Plants

James and Lily have been visiting our planter on the High Street and their family told us that they have been learning about keeping the flowers alive and what they need to grow.
How kind of you both to water our plants Lily and James. Some of the Nursery staff have been trying to care for them in the hot weather and it’s great to know that we have such super helpers. Thank you so much and thank you for sharing your photos. We love to see you all. Keep up the good work!

Sports Day At Home

I wonder how many of have had your Sports Day at home? We are delighted to share this super video of one of our pupils enjoying an obstacle course at home with her big sister. It looks like great fun and the course was even created by the girls themselves. Super work both of you and thank you so much for sharing your video.
