Parent And Child Sports Club

We hope that some of you will be able to participate in our Parent and Child Sports Club open to Nursery to Primary 2 pupils and a parent/carer. Mrs. Foster, our P.E. teacher has kindly agreed to run this for four Tuesdays from 3.00 – 4.00p.m commencing 20th February. This club will introduce you and your child to rugby, netball, gymnastics and athletics, giving you ideas on how to enjoy sport together. Please return the reply slip by Monday 5th February to Nursery staff if you would like to join in.

Keep Nursery Tidy

Our recent “Keep Nursery Tidy” monitors have been doing a great job reminding everyone about the importance of tidying away after finishing with an activity and they have been happy to help with all the little jobs themselves too. Let’s hope that all the boys and girls help our monitors each week to look after our equipment and help to tidy it away.

Burns Day

Last week we celebrated Burns Day with shortbread, tattie scones and cheese and, of course, Irn Bru. We appreciate everyone making a super effort to provide the children with ‘a touch o’ tartan’ – we thought that they looked wonderful. Here you can see some of the morning children enjoying their celebration. Afternoon photos will follow soon.

Confident Individuals

Brooke’s family has been looking of the photos of Primary 6 visiting the Nursery:

“What a lovely photo of Brooke looking so confident and so happy in talking to one of the buddies out in the garden 😀”

It is lovely to see the older children building good relationships with our children.

Buddy Day

Monday is buddy day when Primary 6 visit Nursery children to play with them. All the buddies have now visited both morning and afternoon sessions to get to know our children and they are doing a great job. It’s lovely to see the older and younger children chatting together as they build relationships. We are looking forward to lots more visits in the future and hope that Primary 6 are enjoying their visits too.
