Burns Day

On Friday we celebrated Burns Day with shortbread, tattie scones, oatcakes, cheese and, of course, Irn Bru. In true tradition some of the children even had a little taste of haggis, neeps and tatties and tried out some Highland dancing which was great fun. We appreciate our families making a super effort to provide the children with ‘a touch o’ tartan’ – we thought that they looked wonderful.

Fantastic Foam

It’s amazing what a tray of foam can provide in Nursery – you can make patterns, write your name, develop fine motor control and, of course, enjoy a wonderful sensory experience. This foam tray has been very popular in the Raindrop Room this week and has been a great social experience as new children and those who have been with us a while have got to know each other simply by sharing a calming, sensory experience.

Busy, Busy In The Sunshine Room

Our youngest children, in the Sunshine Room, have been busy in the lead up to Christmas making reindeer food and creating their own fireplace for their role play area. They showed concentration and perseverance as they worked away to produce some great work. The reindeer food will be coming home soon. We hope that Rudolph and his friends enjoy it.
