Thank You

Thank you very much for the kind comments re our Fun Activity event.

Carmen’s Mum: “Very well done to all the boys and girls today. You were a credit to your teachers and nursery. As a parent I was very proud of all the children, what a lovely atmosphere. Well done to all the teachers who work so hard to put sports day on, you deserve a medal.”

Mollie’s Mum: “It was fantastic seeing the children working together as a team, well done to all! Mollie certainly loved it, especially her medal and ice lolly!”

Medals Galore

Thank you so much to everyone who came to cheer on the children today in their Fun Activity event. We felt very proud of them all as they confidently showed off their skills in front of a large audience and hope that you enjoyed the day as much as we did. Those medals and ice lollies were certainly well deserved. Well done boys and girls – today you really were ‘confident individuals’.

Good Teamwork

Let’s hope the weather stays fine for us tomorrow. Carmen and her Mum are certainly looking forward to our Fun Activity event:

“First I would like to say what great photos of the children in action. This is always a great day and nice to see the children encouraging each other to do well. Can’t wait for tomorrow. Carmen is very excited.”

The children are so good at encouraging each and show great team spirit.

Fun Activity Day

The children have been practising their running, jumping and throwing skills to prepare for our Fun Activity session on Tuesday. They have shown good teamwork and had great fun although at times, as you can see from the photos, we have had to have our coats on due to chilly weather. We are looking forward to lots of families cheering the children on as they show you what they can do. Fingers crossed that we get some sunshine on Tuesday.

Madison Enjoyed the Sack Race

We’re glad to hear that Madison and her Mum enjoyed Friday’s fun activities:

“madison loved it today, the cold didnt dampen there spirits. she enjoyed the sack race best, and loved showing everyone her madal, all the kids done brill x”

We agree that the children were brilliant. I wonder which activity other people liked best?

Three Cheers

Three cheers for adults and children alike who braved the cold wind today to join in our Fun Activity session. We thought that we should perhaps have had hot chocolate as a treat instead of ice lollies but hopefully everyone still managed to enjoy themselves. We are sure that, like us, you were all very proud of the children taking part in their activities. They showed fantastic behaviour, evidence of the skills that they had learned and a great team spirit. Thank you to everyone who came to support us today and thank you also to Primary 7 who were so helpful and polite. Most of all we have to say very well done to all the children of Hecklegirth Nursery – you were wonderful and fully deserved those medals.

Running, Jumping and Balancing

Running, jumping and balancing are some of the skills we have been practising for our Fun Activity session on Friday. The children have enjoyed working together in teams to take part in a range of activities on the school field. We hope that lots of families will be able to encourage the children on Friday when they show you what they can do. Let’s just all hope that the weather is kind to us.

Sunshine and Smiles

It was all sunshine and smiles for our Fun Activity Day this week. We were  lucky with the weather which helped to make everyone so happy and the children certainly had beaming smiles on their faces as they had fun at the various activities. It was great to see them all working together for their team and trying their best. We certainly felt very proud of them all and, judging by your comments and the super support the children had, we feel sure that you felt the same. Thank you so much to everyone for coming to cheer the children on. We think they thoroughly deserved their medals and ice lollies after all their efforts.

Fun Activity Day

We would like to remind everyone that Tuesday (22.5.12) is our Fun Activity Day which family and friends are invited to attend. In the event of bad weather we hope to hold it on Wednesday.

Please bring children to Nursery at the usual time and we will take them to the school field as quickly as is possible. You will then be able to follow your child’s group round the activities and watch them having fun. We ask that you please ensure that your child is wearing suitable footwear for the field. Fingers crossed for the weather to be on our side and we hope that everyone has a fun time.
