Biking To School

Emilia’s family has been looking at the photos of Big Pedal Fun Day:

“Emilia really enjoyed the bike session and loves taking her bike to school.”

We are glad that you enjoyed the different activities Emilia. You have certainly been keeping up with the idea of cycling to school and always arrive with a lovely smile on your face. Keep up the good work.

Growing Plants

Jasmin’s family has been looking at the photos of the children planting their sunflower seeds:

“Jasmin was thrilled to have planted her own flower and is continuing to look after it and watch it grow at home.”

Fingers crossed that it keeps growing Jasmin and then you will be able to plant it in your garden

Family Learning

Our PEEP sessions with Eileen, the Family Learning Co-ordinator, started again last week and, when I popped in, this little group was enjoying a story and various activities linked to seeds which supported the learning they had been doing in Nursery. They will now have cress as well as a sunflower to look after so they are going to be busy little gardeners.
The first morning session is planned for Tuesday of this week and Eileen will have an afternoon session again on Thursday. We hope that those taking part have lots of fun.

Open Evening

We would like to remind you that Monday 14th May is our whole school Open Evening. Nursery will be open from 3.30 – 5.30 for any parents/carers who would like to pop in for a chat and to have a look at their child’s “special book”. We look forward to seeing you then if you are available to come along. Please remember that your child’s book is also available every day for you to look at and staff are happy to chat to you if you have concerns or queries.

Planting

Leah and Enid have been talking to their families at home about planting seeds this week.

“Leah told us all about planting her seed in compost. She helped her papa plant his his tomato 🍅 plants this week too. She really enjoyed gardening”

“Enid told me all about how she had been planting seeds, she looks every bit the professional in this photo.”

Well done Enid and Leah for sharing your learning at home. You both did very well with your planting. Let’s hope that your seeds start to grow and good luck to Leah’s Papa for his tomato plants. I wonder which will grow bigger, the sunflower or the tomatoes?

Happy Times

Joshua and Nancy’s family has been looking through our recent posts and kindly left us several lovely comments.

“Nancy & Joshua loved the visit to Tesco 😊 “

“Lovely photo of all the children in front of the fire 😊 “

I think all the children enjoyed visiting the police station, especially getting to all have a turn at putting sirens on 😊. Nancy loved pressing the buttons Joshua loved sitting in the driving seat pressing the buttons for the lights & sirens 😁”

“Joshua said mummy I was waiting patiently for my turn to help water the plants 😀”

” Aw Nancy looks like she is concentrating very hard. She loves planting flowers & gardening 😊”

We are glad that the children seem to have thoroughly enjoyed our recent activities. Thank you for taking the time to leave us comments.

Photos

Patrick’s family has been looking through our photos and liked the ones of the children visiting the police station.

“Aww Patrick you were a bit shy but weren’t you brave getting in the big car! Well done xxx” and “Lovely 😍 seeing you with all your friends Patrick xxx

The children did enjoy that visit and it was great that they were all able to try out the siren and blue light on the van.

Keeping Children Safe

We would like to remind you about the NSPCC information session on keeping children safe online which will be held tomorrow, 30th April, from 6.30 until 7.30. Mrs Alexander and PC Irons will deliver an online presentation to raise awareness of what our young people are doing online and how we can help them to keep safe.
Child care is available if required and children should bring a book or game.
