For those who have signed up for it, we would like to remind you that tomorrow, Friday 14th December, is our “Christmas Stay And Bake” day. Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, has been shopping and the ingredients are ready for you to have a go at a little Christmas baking. We look forward to some delicious smells coming our way.

Rhyme And Story Time
Tomorrow is Tuesday so it must be time for our Rhyme and Story Family Learning session again. Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, has been enjoying working with some of our families and would be happy to have more join her at 9.00 or 12.15 each Tuesday. Here is a little snapshot of the activities they enjoyed the last time they met.
Thank You
Jasmin’s family has been looking at the photos of our Rhyme Snack Time:
“We had a great time, thank you!”
Thank you very much for joining us. We know that everyone has busy lives so it’s great when families can join us.
“I’m A Little Teapot” Part Two
As promised, here are photos of the afternoon children and their families enjoying their “I’m A Little Teapot” snack time. Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us. Staff and children loved having your company. Please remember that you are welcome to come and play in Nursery any day with the children.
“I’m A Little Teapot” Snack
As a celebration of World Nursery Rhyme Week, we held an “I’m a Little Teapot” snack time for our families and it was lovely to have so many parents, grandparents and younger brothers and sisters joining us. As well as a tasty pancake and fruit snack, the children enjoyed some drawing activities at the tables and everyone joined in when we sang “Five Currant Buns” and “I’m a Little Teapot” as our focus rhymes.
Thank you so much for joining us and for your feedback. It seems like this is something that everyone would like to do again so we will keep that in mind when working together with Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, to plan future activities. Thank you to all those who attended for making this a happy event for the children and thanks, as always, to Eileen for organising such a super event. Here is a gallery of our morning snack time. We will post photos from the afternoon soon.
“I’m A Little Teapot” Snack
We would like to remind you that tomorrow, Tuesday 20th November, is the day when you have been invited to join the children for a nursery rhyme snack time as this week is World Nursery Rhyme Week.
There will be tea, coffee, scones, butter, jam and fruit for all to share, including younger brothers or sisters, and we look forward to all singing our rhymes “Five Currant Buns” and “I’m a Little Teapot”. Snack will be served around 9.00 and 2.00. We look forward to seeing you there.
Family Learning Story Time
Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, sent us photos from today’s family activity, saying “We had lots of fun today at our elephant themed story/rhyme time.”
This looks like great fun. Please remember that all are welcome every Tuesday from 9.00 until 9.45 or 12.15 until 1.00, including younger brothers and sisters. Eileen hopes to see you there soon.
Stories, Rhyme And Fun
We would like to remind you that our “Stories, Rhyme and Fun” Family Learning sessions will begin tomorrow Tuesday 30th October. Sessions will be 9.00 – 9.30 or 12.15 – 12.45 and younger sisters and brothers are welcome to join in. We hope that lots of our families take this opportunity to have fun while developing their children’s literacy skills.
Happy Families
Two of our parents have been enjoying photos of different recent activities in Nursery.
Evelyn’s family said, “looks like Evelyn is doing well in nursery. I love seeing pictures of her and that’s she’s safe near the fire. 🙂 xx “
We are pleased that you like our little snapshots of Nursery life. The children are certainly learning the rules of staying safe near fire and are becoming confident near fire.
Leo’s Mummy was one of those parents who participated in this week’s “Rhyme and Storytime” taster session:
“Leo and mummy had lots of fun at the rhyme session. Look forward to the next one 😊”
It certainly looked like good fun with Eileen. She is checking the times that suited people most and we are hoping that lots of our families will join in with our sessions.
Thank you both for visiting the blog and taking the time to leave us a comment.
Rhyme And Storytime
Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, has shared these photos and detail of what happened at her taster session today.
“We had fun at our Rhyme and Storytime taster session this morning. We read a story about Incy Wincy and found out that he managed to get up the water spout. We learned some other rhymes about spiders, then we bounced our spiders up to the ceiling.”
This sounds like great fun. Eileen will be collating the results from her questionnaire about preferred sessions and will contact everyone to let them know when she plans to run more sessions.
