We hope that you have all been enjoying your summer holidays spending time with your families. To help you plan your next holiday, we have put the dates for the new school year in our “Dates for Your Diary” link on the right under “Support Information”.
This link will be updated with more detail as the year progresses, once we have other dates in place, so all the information you need for your calendar will be there to refer to throughout the school year. We hope that this is helpful for you and that you enjoy the rest of your holidays.

We would like to remind you that we will be at Farmer’s Den tomorrow, Monday 18th June, for our Nursery sessions.
Please meet us at Farmer’s Den at the usual times between 8.45 and 9.10. We ask that morning parents/carers collect the children at 11.45. Afternoon children should arrive at 12.15 and can be collected between 3.00 and 3.15. Snack will be provided thanks to the generosity of Hecklegirth Friends who have also paid for each child’s session. We look forward to seeing you there.

Please return your form to request tickets by Thursday 31st May. Please remember that entry to this event will be by ticket only and there will be no tickets sold on the night. We look forward to seeing lots of you there.

Nursery will be open from 3.30 – 5.30 for any parents/carers who would like to pop in for a chat and to have a look at their child’s “special book”. We look forward to seeing you then if you are available to come along. Please remember that your child’s book is also available every day for you to look at and staff are happy to chat to you if you have concerns or queries.

Book Your Breakfast
For two weeks from the week beginning 23rd April we will be taking part in the Big Pedal event. Children, parents and staff are encouraged to cycle or scoot to school over the two weeks and we will keep a record of how many are doing this so get your bikes and scooters out ready everyone and have a great healthy and fun start to the day.
On the 4th May we will finish with a Big Pedal fun day, where classes will be timetabled to take part in cycling activities with Annan Cycling Club and Katie Robinson, I Bike cycling officer. There will also be a free cycling breakfast on the morning of that day for those bringing their bikes or scooters to school. Please remember that your return slips to book your place on the breakfast should be returned to staff by Friday 20th April.
Nursery Enrolment
Wednesday and Thursday (18th and 19th April) of this week are enrolment days for children who will attend Nursery in the next academic year. Please come along to the school office with your child’s birth certificate and proof of address to complete an enrolment form. Please check the name of your Health Visitor, if you are unsure, as you will need this as part of the enrolment process. Those already attending our Nursery have a form in their tray to complete for their enrolment. This should be returned by 19th April.
As explained in the letter sent to your home, this enrolment is for the normal 600 hours allocation and from January we will have additional hours on offer to provide early access to the 1140 hours committed to by the Scottish Government for Early Learning and Childcare by 2020/21. An update form will be available in the Autumn term if you wish to increase your child’s hours. We look forward to meeting new families this week for your child’s initial enrolment.
