As our summer holidays draw to a close, we hope that the children are beginning to get excited about the start of a new year in Hecklegirth Nursery, whether they are returning or it’s the beginning of their time with us. After a successful pilot scheme last year, we will continue to have two Nursery classes and children have been allocated a place in either the Rainbow Room or the Sunshine Room.
We would like to remind you that the children will attend for one hour only on the first two days, Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th of August. You will find details of your child’s time and room on the letter you received, allocating your child a place. If anyone is unsure of which group and room their child is in, staff will be in school on Friday 16th August and we will be happy to take your call to confirm this.

Find out about Hecklegirth School
It seems hard to imagine that we are almost at the point of enrolment for school again, with the dates looming next week. Miss Wilson will be holding an Information Meeting on Friday of this week for the parents of those children who are moving to Primary 1 in August and who are interested in what Hecklegirth School has to offer. Meetings will be held at 9.15 and 2.00 in school for everyone interested.
Enrolment
We would like to remind you that enrolment for pupils due to start Primary 1 in August of next year will be on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th of January.
We hope that everyone is enjoying their Christmas holidays and look forward to seeing you all soon.

Our increased roll means that we will have two Nursery classes this year and children have been allocated a place in either the Rainbow Room or the Sunshine Room.
We would also like to remind parents and carers that the children will attend for one hour only on the first two days, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th of August.
You will find details of your child’s time and room on the letter you received, allocating your child a place. If anyone is unsure of their child’s details, staff will be in Nursery on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd August and we will be happy to take your call to confirm this.
Getting Ready
It’s not long now until the start of a new year in Nursery. We would like to remind parents and carers that the children will attend for one hour only on the first two days, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th of August. You will find details of your child’s time on the letter you received, allocating your child a place. If anyone is not sure of their time, staff will be in Nursery on Wednesday 24th August and we will be happy to take your call to confirm this.
Likewise, if you have ordered a Nursery sweatshirt but have not picked it up yet, please feel free to call in to school, via the main entrance, on Wednesday. It is advisable to put the children’s names on their sweatshirts and shoes as they very easily get mixed up.
