As promised, here are some photos of the afternoon children just before their Christmas celebration. Just like the morning children, they showed confidence in their performance and sang beautifully for their families despite having depleted numbers due to absences. Well done to everyone and thank you so much to all those who provided a wonderful audience for the children.

We felt very proud of all the children too as most were not daunted by the large audience and showed themselves to be the ‘confident individuals’ and ‘effective contributors’Â that we aim for. Thank you to all our families for making this a wonderful occasion for the children.
We hope that, like us, you were very proud of all the children as they behaved and sang so beautifully in front of a big audience at our Christmas celebration yesterday. Huge thanks go to Mr. Bill Malone, Old Parish Church, and Mr. Palmer for joining us and to the many family members who helped to make this a special occasion for the children. We hope that you are all looking forward to our Christmas celebration tomorrow, Monday 18th December. Morning parents can join us at 11.20 and afternoon parents at 2.20. The Nursery door will be opened for entry through the usual entrance and parents and family can park in the John Bell car park.
We are keeping our Christmas celebration informal to encourage the children to enjoy a relaxed and happy performance of the songs they have been learning. Mr. Bill Malone, from the Old Parish Church, has kindly agreed to join us and we are delighted that many of our families have indicated that they would like to be part of our celebration. As you can see, the children have been practising to make sure that you enjoy their songs. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
This term some of the children have had the opportunity to attend a whole school assembly which has helped them to grow in confidence in the wider school environment. When this little group went to assembly last week they were learning about Poppy Day and why we have it. At the end of assembly they were delighted to get a poppy each from Mrs. Alexander.

Witches, ghosts, bats and a few superheroes arrived in Nursery on Tuesday for Hallowe’en. Thank you to all those who helped their children play the part – here are some photos we managed to capture of some of those super outfits in the afternoon. We will post photos of the morning children soon.
We have an increasing number of children who enjoy back-to-back sessions in Nursery. Each day a little group lunches together in the school dinner hall with staff and they have developed a lovely little social group, discussing their morning and developing confidence in the wider school environment. As you can see, the children enjoy this time of day when they can relax and rest while enjoying their tasty lunches.
