Well done Isaac for using these skills at home and at Nursery. It’s great to hear how independent you are.
Mrs. Irving also left a comment about our visit to the Friendship Club last week:
“What a lovely welcome our children received from the ladies of the Friendship Club. Feedback was wonderful with many of the ladies telling the children how it felt like Christmas had now began! Well done children, we are very proud of you!”
We certainly are proud of them all. How lovely that the ladies felt that Christmas had now begun, hearing our little singers.
Tilly’s family was pleased to hear that she won the nursery rhyme competition:
“Aww Tilly was delighted to win the nursery rhyme competition especially after an emotional start! We are enjoying singing the rhymes in her new book and reading to her wee bear who still has no name! Thank you!”
Well done Tilly! I wonder what name you will choose in the end for your little bear?

Yvonne and Louise from the Health Improvement Team visited us last week for an informal information and taster session. It was lovely to have so many adults from our families joining the children and staff to learn about healthy snack options and it was great to see children and adults alike trying some foods for the first time. Some of the recipes sound delicious and we plan to try them out in Nursery with the children. The healthy banana ice-cream was particularly popular and we think that a few homes in Annan may be trying that idea out soon.
Thank you to the adults for taking the time to give us some feedback on this visit as it helps us evaluate and plan for the future. Comments included:
“Very informative and colourful”
“Very informative session and lovely to spend time with my child encouraging her to eat healthy. We all love the banana ice-cream and the Sharon fruit. Thank you”.
“Very helpful information, well presented”.
Here are some of the children and adults enjoying the session in the Rainbow Room.
Tilly’s family enjoyed seeing the photo of her chopping apples in Nursery:
“Aww! Tilly has an apple every night for supper which I chop up for her! Recently she has been putting her new skills to good use and peeling and chopping her own apple (supervised of course!!!!)”
Well done Tilly to use your skills at home too. You are becoming so grown-up and independent. Super skills!
Mrs Irving has been looking at the video of the children making their firework art outdoors:
“Watching this has made me smile! What a fabulous, fun filled fireworks day with our busy, brilliant children!”
We certainly had a very busy day with lots of fun activities. We hope that our little video gives our families a taste of it.
