Here some photos show what we have doing. We hope you are all ok, and see you soon”

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely photos and for giving us news of what you have all been doing at home. It looks like you’re having a wonderful time. How thoughtful to say that we can all be superheroes by helping each other. It is great to hear from you and we hope that we see you soon too.

News From Sophie

Sophie E’s family enjoyed Mrs. Irving’s accordion video:

“Sophie loved watching this she’s very impressed! She’s missing nursery so much. We have been enjoying the good weather and going on lots of adventures. We have even grown some caterpillars into butterflies and set them free, its amazing to watch.”

We are impressed too Sophie. I think we will have to have Mrs. Irving bring her accordion in to Nursery for a live performance once we are back. Well done for looking after your caterpillars until they turned into butterflies. No doubt they will be happy enjoying the lovely sunshine too.
Thank you for getting in touch. It’s lovely to hear from you and we are missing everyone too.

Super Ornithologist

Mrs. Irving enjoyed seeing the photos of one of our children busy learning with his family:

“How lovely to see what I has been up to. I am sure he will be a super ornithologist! I wonder what birds he will spot? Brilliant biking too I! Your leg muscles will be growing really strong. Well done!”

That is a long bike run. He certainly will be getting strong and fit.

Well Done Fern!

Fern’s family has been in touch after seeing Mr. Palmer’s bike art competition:

“This is a fun idea, Fern will love taking part. Fern has used some of her time at home to learn how to ride her bike without stabilisers!!”

Wow! Well done Fern learning to ride without stabilisers. We are all very proud of you and we are looking forward to seeing a photo of your bike art later in the week.

We hope that lots of our families will take part and send their photos to the school address gw08officehecklegirt@ea.dumgal.sch.uk or to Mr. Palmer’s address gw08palmerchris@ea.dumgal.sch.uk by Friday May 1st.

News From Isaac

Isaac W’s family has been looking at our recent posts and kindly left us some comments.

They enjoyed the video of Mrs. Irving and her son playing Humpty Dumpty:
“We have just watched this, Isaac said it sounds good. xx”
We are certainly looking forward to Mrs. Irving bringing her accordion in to Nursery in the future. Glad you enjoyed it Isaac.

They liked the photo of Isaac when the buddies visited us:
“Excellent picture, Isaac looks happy. xx”
The Nursery children did love those visits. Let’s hope we can enjoy them again in the not too distant future.

It was also great to hear that Isaac is looking after his plants:
“Isaac has been taking great care of our plants and he has been happily watering them every day as we are having such nice weather. Next project is a fairy garden…..we will send some pictures. Isaac is most definitely missing his Nursery family.”

Well done Isaac! We are all missing you too. A fairy garden sounds wonderful.

Please send any photos to the school address gw08officehecklegirt@ea.dumgal.sch.uk and they will be forwarded to us to put on the blog.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us message. It’s so nice to hear from you.

Hello

We have a lovely message and photo for everyone from Mrs. Carruthers:

“Hello from Mrs J Carruthers. I just wanted to pop on to say hello. I hope you are all staying safe with your families and enjoying this unique time with them. I am missing you all very much and hopefully we will see each other soon. I have enjoyed seeing some of your photos on the blog. I have been making rainbow pictures with my two daughters and spending time in the sunshine. Take care all of you.”

How lovely to see Mrs. Carruthers’ daughters who look like they are keeping busy. We hope that all our Nursery children are enjoying time with their families too.

Singing Together

Further to the video of her playing Humpty Dumpty at home with her son, Mrs. Irving has left a message:

“I’m looking forward to taking my accordion into nursery to play alongside our brilliant children singing. Lots more practice will be needed though for me to keep up with them!”

That would be great Mrs. Irving. We look forward to joining in lots of songs with you.

Skills To Last A Lifetime

Isaac W’s family has been enjoying the Twinkl website that we suggested for some home activities:

“This is an excellent resource, we have downloaded lots from here and also the Chester zoo website. Xx”

We are glad you are finding it useful and would encourage other families to have a look at both these sites. You may find something your child is interested in that you could look at together.

Isaac’s family also commented on the photos we posted of some of their activities at home:

“Isaac is having a great time helping in and out of the house. He is learning skills that will hopefully last him a lifetime. Xx”

There is no doubt that he is developing very important skills and it looks like he’s having such great fun with his learning too. Thank you for sharing your photos.

Keep In Touch

Mrs. Maxwell has been enjoying seeing your photos from home. She thought that the little Easter bunny was “very cute” and commented, ” What a lovely poster, very thoughtful.”

She was also pleased to see our bread maker so busy at home: “Lovely to see you are keeping so busy and helping out around your home, the bread looks delicious.”

We are all delighted to hear from some of our pupils and hope that more of you get in touch with us soon.
