Joe’s Crumble

Joe’s family is pleased that the children enjoyed making crumble with their apples:

“Oh wow that looks like so much fun.
Glad everyone got to make something tasty.
Joe was very proud of his crumble and thought it tasted delicious.”

Thanks again for your contribution. The children thoroughly enjoyed turning the apples into crumble and were very keen to taste their cooking.

Kacey’s Having Fun

Kacey’s family has been enjoying the photos on the blog and left a comment about the recent Family Learning activity:

“Kacey and mummy really enjoyed decorating a square for the wall , we will definitely be coming back to the next activity.. Thank you.”

Kacey had also had fun making her apple crumble:

“Kacey loves cooking/ baking she was so excited when she came home!”

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a message. We are pleased that Kacey’s enjoying lots of different activities in Nursery.

Great Fun

Henley’s Mum has been looking at some of our photos outdoors:

“Looks like Henley is having great fun.”

It’s true that the children all seem to love outdoor play. We have been lucky with the weather lately but the children enjoy outdoors in the sunshine, wind or rain and no doubt they will love snow too when it comes.

Family Comments

Two more of our families have left a comment to say that they enjoyed the Family Learning activity last week:

“I enjoyed this as much as Summer and she was really surprised that mummy was there!”

“What a lovely picture Emma. Looks like you had great fun with daddy and Chloe making your pictures. Hope mummy can make it next time.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. We want to hear from as many of our families as possible and hope that the blog provides an insight into Nursery life.

Messy and Creative

Joe H’s Mum has been talking about what he enjoys in Nursery:

“Joe’s favourite activity at nursery is outdoor play. He enjoys getting messy and creative in the garden. Joe says he can’t wait to play in the snow!!!!!!!!”

The outdoors area is great fun and Joe loves it. I can imagine how you’re feeling about the snow Joe but I’m not sure we want it just yet. I wonder what other children enjoy best in Nursery?

Growing Success

Remember the lovely photo of Sophie’s sunflower that she planted last year in Nursery? Her Mum has sent us a message:

“Thanks for putting the photo up, she looks so proud! I must say to Eileen too that the corn seed she gave us to plant has grown out the roof of my Dads greenhouse and had actually got a corn on the cob on it we are just wondering when it will be ready to pick and eat!!
Its all been very exciting! such a nice idea so thanks to you all!”

We will pass the message on to Eileen thank you. Family Learning is starting again for Nursery parents tomorrow, September 4th, so we hope that everyone this year enjoys Eileen’s activities as much as our parents from last year.

Learning The Rules

Callum’s Mum enjoyed his photo showing us the rules:

“We asked Callum about this photo and he said “we have walking legs in nursery not running ones”. He also told us that he has to help tidy up toys. Hope this happens at home?”

Well done Callum! It sounds like you’ve got a good idea of what the rules are. We hope that you are continuing the good tidying up at home to help your Mum and Dad.

Sophie’s Sunflower

Another sunflower from last year has grown successfully. Sophie’s Mum sent us a photo in her garden with a message.
“Sophie wanted to show nursery her sunflower, it has grow up to her chin and when we got home from Spain it had flowered too! We are very pleased its grown as we aren’t very good at gardening usually! Missing you all but enjoying primary 1.”

Well done Sophie! That’s a super sunflower. We are glad to hear that you are enjoying Primary 1.

Settling In

It’s great to see that another family has left a comment on our post showing the children playing:

“Orla is really concentrating there!! Glad she is enjoying nursery as is Emma. Looking forward to seeing how much they develop over the coming months. Lovely nursery and lovely staff.”

Thank you for your kind comments. We are looking forward to getting to know all the children and to seeing how they develop too.
